Walt Disney Company has announced that there will be two new Pixar films on the works: The Incredibles 2 and Cars 3.
The news was made by Chief Executive Bob Iger during the company’s stockholders meeting, providing further details.
Disney Pixar also spread the good news on social media site Twitter, saying: “It’s official: we’re currently working on new films featuring your favorite characters from The Incredibles and Cars!”
New Pixar films
Iger said that director Brad Bird will work on “The Incredibles 2,” who directed the first.
He will work on the script while directing Disney’s live action film, “Tomorrowland,” which stars George Clooney.
Apart from “Cars 3” and “The Incredibles 2,” Walt Disney announced the new Pixar films for 2015 and 2016. This includes a second “Planes” film, “Planes: Fire and Rescue,” and a “Finding Nemo” sequel “Finding Dory.”
